Easter

The kids woke up Easter morning to a note from The Bunny telling them what color eggs belonged to what kid, and how many there were to find. The hunt lasted all of three minutes. Yes they are all fully clothed. Yes, those are the same clothes they wore on Saturday. We didn't get home from Michigan until close to midnight, they obviously went right to bed!

The Bunny also left a note stating the Easter Baskets would be delivered while we were at mass. Smart bunny. No one argued, which surprised me. However they were VERY excited to get home after mass....even being willing to pass up a donut run to Sheetz. Their Dad's need for a very large Diet Dr. Pepper and a Sunday newspaper over-ruled their protests.

The only pics I have of the Easter basket discovery include Gabe with very blue teeth from his blue raspberry slushie. For obviously reasons, I opted not to post them. Not pretty folks, not pretty at all.

Hunting.

Fifteen purple eggs in that basket!

Gabe locates an egg.

Attempt 1 outside church. Gabe.....please look AT Mom.

Attempt 2: Uh, Gabe....the chin....don't point it at me like that.

Attempt 3: Drew, please don't choke your brother.

Attempt 4: As good as it's gonna get.

We enjoyed a nice Easter dinner of ham, potatoes etc etc. It was a low key day. They played a lot of video games (blush) and ate a good bit of candy (blush again). Dad was feeling under the weather, so he vegged most of the day. And aside from making dinner, Mom took it easy as well. It was a nice, quiet, family day.
