I wasn't intending to
continue the monthly updates after Regina turned one year old. But I'm
getting some flack from some readers, that the updates are enjoyable and
that I should continue. Ok Drew, here ya go!
Month
thirteen of Regina's life was a busy one. Her kids are home for the
summer, and having them home all day, everyday was an adjustment for
her. We spend a lot of time outside in the backyard and on the patio.
One look at that part of our yard and there is no doubt that a toddler
lives here. Wading pool, water table, kiddie picnic table, swing and
All.The.Toys. but she loves it outside, and I am happy to sit in the
shade of the patio and play. For the most part, her siblings are the
same way.
We traveled to Michigan to visit with family
and to celebrate my Dad's retirement. Unfortunately, we were in a
pretty serious car accident on the way home which resulted in a totaled
van and Momma (me) injured. Thankfully, none of the kids were harmed.
They were shook up, more than a little bit freaked out, and very worried
about their Mom and their van. Mom is ok. The van, notsomuch.
This month Regina:
Tried a powdered sugar doughnut. It was devoured in record time.
Spent some time in a luxury box at the ballpark. She digs the view.
She walked around the ballpark one afternoon. She obviously thinks she owns the place.
She wore silly hats at home.....
....and at the ballpark.
She made a new friend.
She and Sis spent a lot of time playing with the water table.
She tried a popsicle. It made her face do funny things.
She did a spot on Rob Egan impersonation.
She did a spot on Ck Egan impersonation. "No more baseball!!!"
She laughed her little diapered butt off watching Drew on the slip-n-slide.
Under Drew's watchful eye, she decided to give it a try.
She sat on a bus during the Touch a Truck event at the ballpark. She was so happy to be out of the stroller.
She found a cool new place to sit in the backyard.
Swinging with Anna while Lala, Michael and a neighbor boy look on.
Regina and Anna enjoy a snack.
She hung out with cousins, aunts and uncles at Gramps and Grammie's house.
She had a good month, and continues to grow and change so much.
**Last two pics shamelessly stolen off my sister-in-law's blog. She's much better about having her camera on hand than I am.**
