It's so hard to believe the little preemie who had such a rough start, is now a healthy, happy and LARGE twelve year old pre-teen. He is such a good kid, with a well-developed sense of humor. He is helpful around the house, is great with Regina, and even has a "job" at the ballpark with the grounds crew.
We celebrated with lunch at Applebee's, and came home and let him open his gifts.
Nerf gun bullets.
A whoopie cushion and cash from Aunt Julie and Uncle Larry. Oh that silly Aunt Julie!
A Lions shirt and a check from Gramps and Grammie.
Detroit Red Wings sunglasses and t-shirt from Mom and Dad. Even though we live in Penguins country, he wears his Red Wings apparel proudly.
A Wii game. And he was so thrilled this could have been the last gift and he would have been happy.
And then, the surprise. The unexpected. The PIECE DE RESISTANCE, if you will.....
His very own iPod touch, complete with some fun apps.
I don't think he liked it at all.
Yeah, I think he was pretty darn disappointed with it.
He choose a really yummy chocolate ice-cream cake. Kid has good taste when it comes to sweets.
Wow, 12 candles make for a lot of smoke!
Happy 12th Birthday Drew!!!
