Halloween et al

Rob and the girls gutted the pumpkin this year.  Drew watched, more interested in the use of knives than the actual carving.  Gabe showed no interest.
The girls scooped and scooped.  It had a lot of guts to scoop out.

There was a lot of "eeeewwwwwww" going on.  Neither of them would actually use their hands.

Daddy did the carving.  Caroline picked the face.  It was a very happy pumpkin.  I did not get a picture.  What's THAT all about?

Regina had strong opinions, and shared them.

Regina was very pleased with the outcome, and gave the newly carved jack-o-lantern lots of hugs and kisses.  I hope she didn't give him her cold, because that's precisely how I caught it.

Trick-or-treat night was actually on the 31st this year.  We've never actually gone out on Halloween, it's always scheduled a week earlier (another central PA quirk I don't understand.)  We had mild temps and a bit of rain.  But all in all, it was a good evening to be out.

The girls were ballerinas, both sporting costumes from Caroline's past recitals.  Gabe has now worn a Mario costume for four consecutive years.  Drew wore an old Al Tuna suit, courtesy of his father's generous nature.  That fish was the most popular kid around.  People even stopped him to take his picture with their kids.  Drew loved every second of his new-found fame.

Take one:  "Gabe, please look at Mom."

Take two:  "Really Caroline?  Regina!  Stay put!"

Take three:  "Caroline my patience is waning.  Regina....look at Mommy!"

Take four:  "Gabe?  Look up, honey.  Regina, don't pick."

Take five:  "Gabe!  Drew, just be patient!  Caroline, thank you!  Regina!  Look at Mommy!"

Take six:  That's as good as it gets!
