One of my favorite authors, the woman who penned the very book that sparked my love for fantasty, died this week.
Madeleine L'Engle, the brilliant woman who wrote the Meet The Austins series, and the most important book from my childhood: A Wrinkle in Time, is no longer with us.
I never knew she was ill. Strangely, this hit me harder than I would have expected. I was bemoaning to my sister today, that I needed a new book. Nope. What I need to do is go re-read A Wrinkle in Time. It's been a few years, which is far too long.
God Bless you Ms. L'Engle, thank you for being responsible for such a positive force of my childhood.
