The Well Checks Went Well

It would figure the day I have to drive up the mountain to take all three kids (it's an in-service day today) to the pediatrician's to have their well check-ups, it would snow. Visibility was not great, and people were in a panic. It's Pennsylvania people! We may be within an hour or so of the Mason-Dixon line, but this is very much the NORTH.

The kids were great. Drew was nervous about needing a shot, but handled the exam very well. The pediatrician has known Drew since the very beginning, and always marvels at Drew's growth. he's come a long way from the scrawny 2 lb preemie!

Gabe was also a bit nervous, but was soothed by being able to watch the traffic outside the window. Both boys are healthy and growing on target. We still have some concerns about Gabe's speech delays, but we're working on that.

Caroline charmed the doctor the moment he walked into the room. She did her "Happy Feet" tap dance for him and showed off her penguins. She handled the exam like a pro, and after watching her brothers knew exactly what to do.

All three had to have some shots, two each for the boys and one for Caroline. They all whined a bit, but were easily soothed by the stickers the nurse handed out afterwards.

We had our typical after-doctor-visit Burger King drive through run on the way home. Everyone had worked up quite the appetite.

The stats:

Drew:
weight: 59 lbs 79th percentile
height: 50.50 inches 84th percentile

Gabe:
weight: 42 lbs 44th percentile
height: 44 1/4 inches 54th percentile

Caroline:
weight: 34 lbs 72nd percentile
height: 38 3/4 inches 75th percentile

Everyone is growing well. Gabe may not be as tall as we initially expected, but the doctor also said he thinks Gabe's results were wrong due to him (Gabe) likely slouching a bit when measured. Typical Gus!

Sorry, no pics. I'm flying solo for the weekend.....I'm lucky I was able to get this put up at all.
