Caroline's Jeff Comes to Visit

The 4th of July brought us a special visitor. The kids' cousin Jeff stopped by to spend the day/night with us. Jeff was driving from Michigan to Ft. Lee in Virginia. We were the half way point, and were more than happy to spend the day with him.

Truth be told, Jeff belonged to Caroline. Sure, the boys were thrilled to see him, and Jeff eagerly played Wii games with them. But Caroline made it clear to everyone involved that Jeff was hers.










We took Jeff to the ballpark for the Ballpark 4th of July Block Party. There were local bands, games, food and the opportunity to play catch on the field. We enjoyed it all.








Jeff had to leave the next afternoon. Caroline was basically inconsolable. She pouted most of the day.



We're all wishing Jeff well, and hope he can come back to visit soon. But we'll understand if we have to take the backseat to his mother and his girlfriend.

Most of us will understand. There's no guarantees about Caroline.
