Regina recently had her 15 month well check. She's definitely a growing girl. She's talking so much, and communicates her needs and wants quite clearly. She's got a good sense of humor and spends a lot of her time laughing and giggling.
She enjoys watching "Ernie" and the other Sesame Street pals. She has mastered her puzzle, but still enjoys putting the pieces in place and will applaud herself upon completion. She has played with Caroline's old doll babies more than Caroline ever did. She pats her babies' backs and kisses them on the head. Amazing the things they pick up from watching their own Momma's.
She has well over fifty words in her vocabulary, and a few sentences/phrases. we are constantly amazed at how quickly she learns new things. She is quite the mimic and enjoys trying to do what the big kids are doing.
Drew is wonderful about sharing his iPod with her so she can play Bubbles (bubb-ooooooos). Gabe tolerates her trying to play Wii with him. This consists of Regina turning the tv off and on while he's in the middle of his game. When he hits his frustration level we'll hear him tell her "No no Regina! That's off-limits!"
Obviously Caroline's toys hold the most appeal. Caroline tries to be patient, and has graciously given up the dolls Regina likes the most. That doesn't stop Regina from searching out the Barbies and McKenna, Caroline's American Girl doll. The few times Regina has gotten close enough to McKenna, we found her very gently brushing her hair, and kissing her head.
Stats:
Weight: 24 lbs, 6 ounces. She's climbed back up into the 72nd percentile. She's definitely a very good eater!
Length/Height: 31. 50 inches. 79th percentile. She definitely grew a lot over the summer.
Length/Height: 31. 50 inches. 79th percentile. She definitely grew a lot over the summer.
Head circumference: 19.25 inches. 97th percentile.
Hair:I really don't want to discuss it. Someday she'll have hair. Someday.
Eyes: Green. Some days they are dark green, some days they look more hazel. But they are definitely not brown.
This month Regina:
....was quite perplexed by an empty ice cream cone.
Aha! Success! For the record, she was not a fan.
She loves to cross her arms and 'harrump' at us. She tries to be grouchy or sassy. But her smile tells us otherwise.
Daddy's home a lot now, and she has discovered he can be a whole lot of fun. Here she is finding (and poking) Daddy's eye.
Charging Mom/the camera continues to be great fun.
Watching play With Me Sesame is serious business.
Waving and calling out "bye-bye" to her kids as they went off to school. Then they came home, and she was as grumpy as she's ever been. I think she enjoyed her peaceful and uninterrupted naps.
She does enjoy being naked.
"Ta-Da!"
She called some friends.....
And they had a fine chat.
