Caroline spent most of the day playing in an old monkey (Halloween) costume. Gabe wore it when he was a year and a half old. Needless to say, the costume was a bit small. It wouldn't close in back, and was a bit on the short side. Nonetheless, she was thrilled with it, and did not want to take it off.
We spent a good deal of the day outdoors. The weather was beautiful and there were plenty of chores to be done out in the yard. It was so nice to be outside and breathing in some fresh air. Hard to believe that just last Saturday Rob took the boys sledding! There's no snow to be found now! I found plenty of evidence of spring in my flower gardens. Lots of beautiful green sprouts coming up!
I opened all the windows and aired out the house. Good-bye winter germs!! The winter coats were moved to the back of the closets (not quite ready to pack them away permanently just yet) and the spring coats moved to the front. It's been a long time coming, but spring's arrival is very very welcomed!!!
At the end of the day, we had some very tired Egans.......and one exhausted monkey!
