Gabe Turns Ten!

Gabe had been anticipating his birthday for months.  He had specific gifts in mind, and waited patiently for his special day.  He had his day all planned out, from a birthday breakfast with Daddy at McDonald's, to his Miracle League game in the evening.

In between, we had his party.  His theme this year was Mario.  Unlike last year when I attempted the same theme, I was able to find plates, napkins, a table cloth, a balloon, bags, a banner and a cake!  I was unable to find wrapping paper, so a spare table cloth was cut up and re-purposed.

The cake.  It was perfect!

The gift table.  Hard to keep Regina away!

 The party table.

The custom made banner I was so excited about.  He was pretty indifferent to it.  Yet he doesn't want me to take it down.

Opening gifts.  This is the other Blue's Clues movie he had been wanting.

His Michigan shirt from Lala and family.

A Wii game from Grammie and Gramps.

A new fish lamp.

The clock from Mimi and family.  This was a huge hit!  The gift he didn't know he wanted.  It has made my life so much easier.

The Wii game he'd been wanting.

Checking out the cake while we sing.

He still has not mastered blowing out the candles.

He had a great day, and got many great gifts from family near and far.  He is such a sweet boy and is growing up so fast.  He's doing well in school, he especially loves math class!  He's doing a great job at Miracle League.  Gabe doesn't care for fielding, but he loves to 'swing the bat.'  When he connects watch out!  He may be a little guy, but he's got some power in his bat!

We love you buddy!
