Regina: Month Twelve

Sorry about the late monthly update.  I wanted to have her stats from her 12 month well-check up.  We visited Dr. Andy today, and have the stats!

Stats:

Weight: 21 lbs 8 oz.  54th percentile.  She's holding steady, not breaking any records, just a healthy girl!

Length: 29 inches.  42nd percentile.  She seems taller to me.

Head circumference: 19 inches.  97th percentile.  To quote Dr. Andy "Wow, big head."  To which I replied; "Have you met her father?"

Hair: Not much change.  It's growing in slowly.  The color is changing though, the back and sides still look reddish brown, but the top is undeniably blonde.

Eyes: Green.

She seems to change and grow daily.  Her receptive language continues to amaze me.  She clearly understands so much of what I say to her, and communicates her needs to me quite well.  The poor thing has to endure a lot of baseball games.  Some she enjoys more than others.  This child loves the backyard and patio.  She runs us all ragged chasing after her.

This past month Regina:

Spent an abundant amount of time outside.  She loves the turtle pool and the bigger pool has mixed reviews.

She figured out very quickly that she/he who has the the hose is, in fact, in charge.  Usually this person is Momma.

She loves to charge at the camera, and does so often.

Tater tots were found to be SO EXCITING!  And completely devoured in record time.

She tends to be bossy.  Here she is "fussing" at Drew and Caroline who were cavorting in the pool.  She does need to work on the Dunn Swimming Pool Voice.  Gramps has agreed to give her private lessons. ;-)

She likes to sing in church.  However she rarely sings in tune, or the correct words.  But she participates!  And looks good doing it!

Riding the carousel at DelGrosso's resulted in plenty of giggles.  The second time we rode, she was bouncing up and down on the horse as we waited for the ride to start.  No fear, this one.  No fear at all.

She slept in her swing while hanging out with Miss Gabi.  (Photo credit to Miss Gabi!)

She discovered the toddler play area at the ballpark.  she especially enjoyed the play house.

Daddy bought Momma a Push Up.  Momma shared it with Regina.  It was goooooood.

Regina and her sibs wore Al Tuna headbands at the ballpark.  This qualifies as this month's Silly Hat installment.

She and her kids spent plenty of time playing in the pool  Some days she tolerates this, other days she wants nothing to do with it.  I think they splash too much for her liking.

And she's officially sick of baseball games.  Especially little league games where she cannot run around like she can at Miracle League games and Curve games.   There aren't snacks enough in the world to bribe this child out of her baseball field-induced bad mood.

She continues to entertain and charm us.  She's got such a magnetic personality, and will flirt with just about anyone.
As long as she's not at a little league game.  In that case, stand back at least ten feet for your own safety.
