Regina's First Birthday

Sunday was a day of celebration.  Our first year with Regina has flown by.  We spent the day hanging out at home, enjoying the hot summer day and loving on our baby girl.

All dressed up for church.

"Texting" her friends about her birthday plans.

The gift table.

Yes, our theme was rubber duckies.

The cake.  That blue icing really looked like water.

Her smash cake.

Very serious about eating her pizza.

She was so funny about her smash cake.  We expected her to dig right in, as that is her personality.  Instead she was very reserved, and seemed to flip flop about it.  She loved it, then hated it, then tolerated it, and then wanted it to be over.

Help me Sissy!

Help me Momma!

I'm all done!

Rinsing off in the pool.

The carnage.

Because we were outside on the patio, opening gifts proved to be a challenge.  Sitting on the ground wasn't really an option, so she sat on my lap and I tried to help.

A jumper and book from Uncle Joe and Aunt Katie's family.

From Gramps and Grammie.

From Aunt Mimi and Uncle Wes and family.

A duck!!!  Also from Aunt Mimi and Uncle Wes and family.

More ducks from Momma and Daddy.

The water table!  This has been a HUGE hit.

Oh I like that duck on a stick!

Even the older kids liked the water table.

But she really loved that duck on a stick.

The duck on a stick even took a swim.

I love this picture.  Her expression seems to be saying "Oooohhhhh, that was cool!"

We had a great day.  Regina was a happy baby and loved all her gifts. The rest of us loved watching her discover new things.  She is truly our greatest blessing.
