Caroline usually plays with boys. Between her brothers and Andrew (and his brothers) there aren't many little girls around. Caroline does play a bit with Andrews younger sister (Baby) Ashley, but that consists of Ashley following Caroline around and Caroline soaking up the admiration.

Today, we invited Emily-Grace (and her Mom, Christine) over to play. Caroline is familiar with Emily-Grace because Christine and I worked on carnival together for two years. Emily-Grace will be in Gabe's kindergarten class this fall, and they are attending KinderCamp together.

This morning when we were dropping Gabe off at school, Emily-Grace brought Caroline a bag of Carebears. Caroline's head exploded on the spot. I haven't seen such smiles out of her in a very long time. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to invite Emily-Grace over to play after lunch.

They had a great time playing in Caroline's room and the playroom. After a snack we went outside and enjoyed some fun in the sun and in the water slide and pool. The girls completely doused their mothers with the water cannons! After Caroline called it a day and fell asleep on the living room floor (clutching one of her new Carebears) Emily-Grace and the boys enjoyed the water slide.

The afternoon just flew by, and all the kids want to do it again soon. I'm sure we'll do just that.
