Caroline celebrated her First Holy Communion last Sunday. Aunt Mary Pat and Uncle Alan made the trip. Grammie drove in from Michigan as well. Caroline's Godmother Chris (who we regretfully did not get a picture of the two together!) was there as well.
Caroline picker out her own dress and hairpiece and shoes. She was quite happy with her ensemble until we got to the church and she noticed almost every other girl there had a veil. She adamantly DID NOT want a veil when I offered to get one. Seven-and-a-half year old girls can be impossible to please.
Posing before mass.
The procession into mass. Yes, that is Drew in the middle, carrying the cross. He was extremely excited.
Lining up to receive the Eucharist for the first time. She was very shy and absolutely would not turn her head to look at me. *rolleyes*

Her cake:
She had a wonderful day and despite some nervousness early-on, seemed quite moved by the whole thing. It's so hard to believe that (my first) baby girl has gotten so big!!
